Air Quality Current AQI (PM2.5), Pollutant Details, Maps, and Forecast for SF Bay Area

Air Quality Current AQI (PM2.5), Pollutant Details, Maps, and Forecast for SF Bay Area: https://airnow.gov/index.cfm?action=airnow.local_city&cityid=317

This link is provided by the EPA. EPA is currently being gutted by our new administration.I try not to express my political opinion publicly without being cyber bullied.  I just try to tell all the facts.

From the Air Quality national map, you can tell that CA is the state with the worst air in the nation at least for this month. Maybe that’s why metros CA cares about air, but not people in the rest of the nation.

It’s funny that a Bay Area Caucasian friend just told me: “Our air quality is akin to Beijing’s right now.”

I guess China is really infamous for bad air. A couple of years ago I learned that New Delhi air was even worse than Beijing air. I don’t know how people can live with such bad air.

I hope that North Bay fire will burn out hopefully soon.

There is a joke about a Chinese tourist landing in the USA. When he walked out from the airplane, and immediately dropped down and started gasping.

Everybody was clueless about why he could not breath. After a while, a doctor showed up. He continued to gasp but got his words out: “I, from China, China…” The smart doctor immediately put this tourist’s mouth to the end of a tail pipe with the car running. Surprising, the tourist recovered. He began to feel right at home. Doctor’s diagnose: overly oxygenated air for the Chinese.

Chinese have been buying houses in the Bay Area and LA.  They emigrate to the USA for better air, better school, and better political and speech freedom.

China currently is the country with the largest installation of solar wind, and hydro generators, and high speed rail in the world. China is going in the direction of clean air, and the pace is picking up. China and India are banning gas burning cars in a couple of decades. But it’s looking like that the USA just turned around to follow the old direction of China’s coal burning economy, with everybody driving big gas guzzling trucks.

I wonder if in 20 years, wealthy American will start flocking to China, the same way that wealthy Chinese have been emigrating to the USA in the past ten twenty years??  Will we know in 3 years, or 7 years!!?!
